Making your Be'ato Loose Leaf Tea: Brewing Instructions

Double the amount of tea when brewing iced tea. When done steeping, pour over ice*.

Making Be'ato White Tea

1. Use 1.5 teaspoons of tea per 8 oz. of water.

2. Heat water to 175 degrees.

3. Steep for 2 minutes or until desired strength.

Making Be'ato Green Tea

1. Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8 oz. of water.

2. Heat water to 175 degrees.

3. Steep for 2 minutes or until desired strength.

Making Be'ato Black Tea

1. Use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8 oz. of water.

2. Heat water to 195 degrees.

3. Steep for 2-3 minutes or until desired strength.

Facts About Tea
·   All types of tea come from the “Camellia” plant. However the climate, soil conditions, altitude, and how the tea is processed, is what determines flavor of the tea.
·   The Camellia plant was first cultivated in China and was later found growing wild in India.
·   India is the world's largest tea producer.
·   It takes three to five years for the Camellia plant to grow mature enough for plucking.
·   Withering, Firing, Oxidation, Grading/Sorting, and Packing are the four steps in manufacturing tea.
·   Roots, stems, flowers and parts of plants are used to make herbal tea. Herbal tea does not come from the leaves of a tea plant, therefore, is not considered to be "tea".
·   White tea, the rarest type of tea, comes from young tea leaves that are picked before the buds have fully opened.
·   Approximately 40% of the nation's fluid intake today will be tea.
·   According to the Tea Council of Canada, Canadians drink over 7 billion cups of tea each year. They also report that 9 out of 10 Canadians drink tea.
·   1.5 billion cups of tea are enjoyed throughout the world every day.
