We are so excited to be partnered with the Rehema Home in Nairobi, Kenya.
Starting June 1, 2008 (on our 1 year anniversary) Be'ato began raising funds through the sale of the Be'ato Kenyan Black Tea to support the Rehema Home in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Rehema Home was started by Irv and Ruth Schwandt in 1998. This home is a facility that takes in abandoned and orphaned children until they are adopted or reach the age of 18. Right now there are over 34 million orphaned children in Africa, over a third of them orphaned by AIDS. In Kenya, over half of the children orphaned are because either their parents have died from the disease or they have been abandoned because of it. Amazingly it has been found that more than 90% of children under the age of 18 months that are born HIV positive can become HIV negative when they are treated with the proper care and medication.
Here at Be'ato we support and believe in the care that Rehema provides to the children in Kenya who do not have the privilege of having their own parents. To show our support and contribute to the work at the Rehema home, Be'ato will be donating $2 from every Rehema Kenyan tea sale.
If you feel like you would like to take part in giving additional support to this unique and impacting cause, please feel free to contact us or visit the Rehema website at www.rehemahome.com.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
