Be'ato (meaning "Lucky You"...) all started with an idea to market a line of freshly roasted specialty coffees & loose leaf teas. The concept was created to connect major coffee & tea enthusiast with premium coffees and teas that they could not find anywhere else online, all which could be ordered right from their home computer and delivered to their door.  Starting with just four coffees and a small selection of teas, Be'ato enthusiastically launched the new line of freshly roasted coffees and artisan loose leaf teas to the online world in June of 2007.  Over the years Be'ato has continually added more and more products, now offering a wide range of coffees and teas from around the globe. Be'ato retails a fantastic selection of over 70 freshly roasted coffees, 20 plus hand blended and artisan loose leaf teas as well as un-roasted green coffee, flavoured coffee, brewing equipment, gift packs and flavoring syrups. What is "The Be'ato Coffee Difference"?

Coffee is at its best, and most flavorful point right after it is roasted*. Like wine, coffee has hundreds of flavor characteristics that distinguish it and make it unique to where it was grown and processed, but unlike wine, the flavor and distinguishing tastes of coffee fade with time instead of becoming better. Unknown to many, coffee is a perishable food product that loses taste and eventually become stale and bitter. Many coffee drinkers do not realize that their bitter or flat tasting coffee may have at one time been full of flavor. Be'ato believes that specialty coffees that have been carefully grown, hand picked and processed and shipped part way around the world should be enjoyed for what they were so intentionally made to be.

Quality, freshly roasted coffee has been difficult to come by in the past. Many retail coffee companies are selling their product through cafes and grocery stores six months or even a year after roasting. Through Be’ato you can be drinking coffee that is coming directly from the roaster, bursting with it's full flavor- ready to be enjoyed. Be'ato works directly with our roaster who ensures quality by sourcing only the best coffees from coffee regions around the world, as well as by roasting our coffee on an as-need basis, as to not over stock. All coffees ordered through Be'ato are ensured to be either roasted to order (roasted same day or within days of you ordering) or delivered to you within three weeks of roasting. Exception is made to some espressos which are known to be at their peak flavor approximately one month after roasting, due to flavor settling and off-gassing*.
